Websites for solar installers
Anyone thinking about solar has already had sales calls promising to cut their electric bill in half, and they don’t trust it. A solar installer’s website has to do the opposite: run the numbers in front of them, with their own bill, and tell them when it doesn’t pay off.
What drives the decision
How much they’ll save and when it pays back
That’s the real question. A single number doesn’t convince anyone; a calculation using their usage and the price of the system does.
The paperwork
Permits, utility interconnection, net metering and whatever incentives are available at the time. If the website explains who handles each step, a lot of the worry goes away.
Whether their roof works
Orientation, shade, roof type, HOA rules. Better for the website to ask before you drive out to see it.
The key piece: an honest savings calculator
The visitor enters their electric bill (or the size of the house), the type of home and how it’s heated. The website gives them a price range, what they’d save each year and how many years until the system pays for itself.
What matters is that the math is clear: which usage and which electricity price it’s based on. And if their case doesn’t pay off, or a battery isn’t worth it, the website tells them.
Pricing by system size and the data for your area are set with you.

Questions from solar installers
Incentives change all the time. How does the website stay current?
The incentives page shows the date it was last reviewed, and when something changes you tell us and we update it. A short, current page beats a long one full of expired programs.
Does the calculator promise savings?
It shouldn’t, and ours doesn’t: it gives an estimate and explains what it’s based on. Real savings depend on how each household uses energy, and the website says so.
Solar and heat pumps on the same website?
Yes. Each service gets its own page and explanation, and the calculator asks how the house is heated so it can suggest what makes sense.
